Hello community,
I have a device WP76XX which I flashed a software that seems to have caused a strange behavior.
During flashing, the final message of device reboot appear two times and the device kept on endless loop of reboots.
During this scenario, no SSH possible, but ports would appear in Linux. When flashing a new spk, the message of switching to download would never appear.
It was done a flashing in windows through ftdi. The linux image was changed to the one flashed. Connected again on a linux system, ports are available but swiflash doesn’t recognize them. SSH is possible at all times, so it means the swiflash is not having any impact.
Another test was to copy the image to the device and run fwupdate from inside. All messages appeared correctly, the device reboot and the image was not changed.
This seems to be an issue with the firmware responsible to accept swiflash commands and update the device.
Is it possible to recover a device in this state?
Any suggestion on possible next steps?
