How to enable PPS signal in MP 70 LTE router
Also is MP70 not recoommended for new designs?
Hi @ahsan,
Welcome to our community!
According to your description, PPS signal means Pulse-per-second signal, is it right? If not, could you please describe in more detail?
Are you looking for Pulse Counter section for MP70? Please refer to the Pulse Counter section on page 25 of the Hardware User Guide at the following link: https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/hardware_reference_docs/airlink_mp_series_userguide/#sthash.dVdNibFa.dpbs
Thanks,
Yes, the PPS in this context is pulse per second. Since there is a GPS module in the modem, they usually have a PPS output that can be used for time synchronization across devices in the system. We are looking for a way to output that signal with timing information that can be fed to our controller to synchronize clocks.
The pulse counter section discusses an input to the MP70 modem that it can count and not and output PPS signal.
Is there an option for synchronizing the MP70 router’s time using both GPS and internet (NTP) sources?
Hi @ahsan,
Regarding your question, I have commented on this topic: NTP Time Sync configuration for MP70
If you have any further questions or concerns, please continue to discuss them on that topic.
Thanks,
