New Functionality: Platform Information

It would be really useful to have direct access to information about the module in which the application is executing - without having to mess about with AT Commands and responses.

I think this information should include:

Signal Strength;
Current Operator;
Module serial number (IMEI);
Firmware Version;
Open-AT Version;
Hardware Version;
Build Date;
Model ID;

Personally I’d rather see a full-fledged API that give direct access to various information and functionality instead of having to rely on AT commands for basically everything. (Most ADL services are too lacking to be of any use to me)
