at digikey.com I found two versions of the HL7692:
Manufacturer Part No.
- HL7692 1103454 available
- HL7692 1103157 obsolete
What is the difference between them ?
Where there any hardware issues with the obsolete one ?

1103157 is obsolete and was only used for samples. 1103454 is a production SKU and one that you should order.
Can HL7692_1103454 be upgraded or is it locked ?
