MAC address of the EM74XX under Linux

Hi Everyone,

The mac address of the EM7455 module keep on changing under Linux. The modem manager and connection manager application is not assigning the mac address. Initially It gets automatically assigned after driver module insertion, but after few hours it changes automatically. It happens during active data connection.

I have checked it with SierraLinuxQMIdriversS2.42N2.62.tar.bz2 driver.

Is there any way to freeze the MAC address of the EM7455 after bootup?

Probably this is set via GobiUSBNet.c in GobiNet driver as I saw there is some code related to MAC address.
Perheps you can have a look there.
