How to Erase SMS from the SIM Card

does anyone know how to erase all the SMS stored in the SIM Card?

Hello,

I think AT+CMGD=1,4 . Look at the at+cmgd command in AT command guide.

Hi,

Yeah, thats the AT-command to erase all stored SMS in the current selected “preferred message storage” (controlled by AT+CPMS).

Also, be aware of that the AT+CMGD command could take some time to execute. The time is depending on the SIM-card technology (memory size, erase algorithms etc…)

As a rule of thumb: older SIMs are generally much slower and newer are faster.
