EM7595 eSIM provisioning?

We are testing an EM7595 card with the view to put into our units.

I am having issues trying to provision the card on the network. the advice provided to me from the card supplier was to follow the windows instructions, however windows cannot see the eSIM, and does not provide the settings for me to change.

It feels like the eSIM is hidden from windows, not activated or I am in the wrong mode for windows to see it.

what step an I missing to make the eSim visible to windows?

What is the sku of your module?

Have you enabled simlpa in at!custom?

BTW, see if this help:

I have enabled the SimLPA, with no effect on the function.

**Modem Details:**

  • Current PRI: SWIX12C_02.02.02.00_GENERIC_002.000_001

AT+CCID

+CME ERROR: SIM failure

Any advice would be extremely helpful.

Thanks,

how about using the latest firmware?
https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airprime/minicard/75xx/em7590/em7590-approved-fw-packages/#sthash.QuzdpHaC.2PeX7N45.dpbs

From below, it seems it cannot even detect the SIM card because +ICCID should at least return the EIM of the internal eSIM without profile:

BTW, can you type AT!SKU? to see what the SKU is for your module?

!SKU: 1105202

!IMPREF:
preferred fw version: 03.01.02.00
preferred carrier name: GENERIC
preferred config name: GENERIC_003.000_006
preferred subpri index: 000
current fw version: 03.01.02.00
current carrier name: GENERIC
current config name: GENERIC_003.000_006
current subpri index: 000

The firmware is updated, but the carrier information is very generic. how Do I change this to our local provider?

I don’t see there is internal eSIM inside for this SKU.
did you check with the distributor that whether this SKU really has internal eSIM?

Well that is interesting!
The only reason for upgrading from our existing EM4721 cards was for the E-sim functionality.
the local Sierra wireless distributor recommended EM7595.

Is there any way I can confirm this myself?

you can insert a physical SIM to SIM slot 2 to verify
