EM7430 QMI devices error

sudo qmicli --device-open-mbim -p -d /dev/cdc-wdm0 --dms-swi-set-usb-composition=6
[/dev/cdc-wdm0] Successfully set USB composition

You may want to power-cycle the modem now, or just set it offline and reset it:
             $> sudo qmicli ... --dms-set-operating-mode=offline
             $> sudo qmicli ... --dms-set-operating-mode=reset

sudo qmicli --device-open-mbim -p -d /dev/cdc-wdm0 --dms-set-operating-mode=reset
[/dev/cdc-wdm0] Operating mode set successfully

couldn’t QMI devices /dev/cdc-wdm0

After executing the above command, the QMI device was no longer recognized and I was unable to do anything.

Is there any way to cure it?

is there still AT command port?

see if this helps?

echo 1199 9077 > /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id

I was able to get it recognized using modprobe, but QMI and QDL don’t recognize it, so I can’t update the firmware.

you need to use the MBPL USB driver: ( MBPL_DRIVERS_R35_ENG4-usb-src.tar)

https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airprime/software/mbpl/mbpl-software-latest/#sthash.ZXRwiiKx.Ih35ge9z.dpbs

BTW, what is the response on these AT commands?

ati3
at!entercnd="A710"
at!usbcomp=?
at!usbcomp?

Lastly, you should use USB PID 9071 instead of 9077:

at!usbpid?
!USBPID:
APP : 9071
BOOT: 9070

OK
