I have seen many pointers in the forums dating back to 2016 and earlier about getting XTRA & SUPL properly configured on legacy cards. Has anyone gotten either or both to work with the most recent EM/MC74X1 series of cards along with their current firmwares?
In a nutshell, my current status on the MC7411 with latest Verizon or T-Mobile firmwares is below; just wanted to check first whether both methods are still fully supported before going into more detail.
- XTRA only works for time, but Data always remains Invalid
- SUPL is correctly configured (using
supl.google.comand tested on both the encrypted or unencrypted ports-- both configurations further validated with the Google supl-client) but no faster lock is observed (always getting around 30s instead of the expected < 10-15s from cold start)
