Cannot build a project in Developer Studio: Cannot run program "make"

I am not able to build an new/existing project in Developer Studio. The following error is displayed:

Please check if the WP85 package is installed correctly or try re-installing it from the “packages” perspective
Also check if your project’s properties -> Legato Application and ensure that configuration is linked to the correct Legato module.
