ATD returns "Operation not supported" on GL7812

I’m trying to dial a number on GL7812 but the ATD command doesn’t work. It returns an ERROR with a CME error code of 4 - Operation not supported.

The modem is registered and RSSI is quite good. I’m not sure what else to do about it.

What do you want to do with ATD?

Ppp dial up?

For CSD (Circuit Switched Data) transmission.

Does your cat-m network or nbiot network support CSD?
Or you are using GSM network?

I’m using a GSM network. The operator is supporting CSD.

The issue is that the command doesn’t work at all. There is no dialing. Even ATD? returns the error.

how about atd99**1# to dial up?

Actually i don’t see such GSM CSD feature in the specification…
In other products like WP76 or HL8548, if they support CSD, this will be mentioned in the specification
