We are using WP7611 in a shipping product. We need to optimize audio signal paths shown in diagram at Audio - Legato Docs (end of page) but there are no Legato or AT command to access them (TX and RX FIR and IIR, TX and RX DRC, RX MBDRC). In particular, we need a couple IIR biquads in playback (RX) path, and DRC in TX path. How do we access these functions and adjust them?
Hi @bob.moses,
As far as I have read in the AT command document, I see that the command use to configure TX and RX FIR and IIR have been removed. In addition, I also did not find the command to configure the TX and RX DRC, RX MBDRC.
Thanks,
Thank you for the response. I’m somewhat glad but also disappointed that you confirmed my observation that there are no AT commands (or legato ???) to access the filtering and DRC functions. How do we control these filters? Without them the audio features of the module are basically useless because all signal processing in playback path must be done BEFORE the reference fed to the Echo Canceler, and AFTER the EC on record path. Can you please help me understand how the audio front end is to be used and controlled?
Thank you.
Can you please answer my questions about how to adjust the filter and DRC audio parameters in WP7611 shown in the signal flow diagram in Legato documentation? If these functions are not available in WP7611, or impossible to adjust, please at least tell us that. Voice CODEC without DRC is problematic - too much dynamic range. How does one use your device?
Hi @bob.moses,
As far as I’ve searched in the AT command document, I can’t find a command to adjust the filter and DRC audio parameters in WP7611.
In this case, it’s better if you send an email to technical support at support@sierrawireless.com for further assistance.
Thanks,
