When does the HL7800 return +GNSSEV: 3,3?

Hi,

When will the +GNSSEV: 3,3 URC appear in the stream? My NMEA messages do show some coordinates that are not 100% accurate before the URC appears, where the correct coordinates are shown.

So I was wondering when exactly does the +GNSSEV: 3,3 happen? Can I change any settings to decrease the accuracy and get it sooner?

thanks

did you check AT command guide of HL78?

Yes, couldn’t find anything about what constitutes a gnssloc

Hi,

Yes I know that.

The NMEA messages I get before receiving the +GNSSEV: 3,3, have coordinates in them that are not 100% accurate. When the +GNSSEV: 3,3 is received the accuracy is 100% (great). What I am asking is; who chooses this accuracy, is it fixed internally?

If I want to get coordinates quicker do I have to just grab them from the NMEA messages or is there some other setting that decreases the accuracy and makes the +GNSSEV: 3,3 message come sooner?

thanks

it seems it means “A 3-dimensional position is available”, maybe the signal is getting better there
