Has anyone got a simple method for transferring test data to/from the WIP TCP client ? Using a PC-based tool for example. I’m a bit stuck. One of the first hurdles I encountered was that the public IP address of my PC is not the IP address allocated by my DSL modem. I’m not even sure how to handle that. Can anyone help getting me started ?
Your DSL modem does not allocate Public IP addresses - it allocates Private addresses.
The Public address is assigned to the DSL modem by your ISP.
You need to check your DSL modem manuals and look for “port forwarding” or “virtual servers” or suchlike - this is where the modem will forward all traffic arriving on a specified external point to a certain destination (IP address + port) on the internal network.
