RC7611-1 with EVK, antannas not working?

Hi,

I’ve been trying for a few days to connect to a remote server using through TCP using an RC7611-1 module. Since i wasn’t able to achieve it on my PCB, i bought the official sierra EVK for RC76xx modules.

I tried the following manipulation with two different RC7611-1 modules, one of them being the one that was given with the EVK itself.

I was never able to have AT+CSQ return me something else than “99,99”.
However, i used the same EVK with an HL8548 module and everything was working fine (same EVK configuration, same SIM card, same antenna). I was even able to connect to the remote server through TCP using the HL8548.

Am i missing an obvious configuration step ?

Rc7611 is for US market
Now it is used in france network
Not sure if the band is supported

Thanks for the reply, it indeed looks like this might be the issue, after investigating the bands more. We’ll have to test with the appropriate modules to be certain.

see if you can use this variant

Yes we chosed this one too after your feedback, thanks for confirming it is the right choice.
I’ll mark this post as solved and reopen one later if i encounter more trouble.

Thanks again jyijyi.
