MC7304 USB disconnect every ~1000s

Hi,

I have a problem with my MC7304. I was running on Debian and Voyage linux and I notice that the device disconnects approximately every 1000s.

I can’t tell if this disconnect is initiated by the device or the OS.

(It may not be related but I also get an error when I connect (cu) to the device. It works every second connection and fails with “cu: write: Input/output error” on the subsequent attempt.)

Appreciate any help.

Hi glnmr,
I am not sure the cause of disconnect issue, but from your log, the driver used is not for MC7304.

Please try install official MC7304 driver from Sierra and see any improvement.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for your reply lotam.

It turns out that this seems to be related to a specific device I have. I checked with a second device and this does not happen. The devices seem identical - same firmware and configuration (as far as I can tell), although the device is also acting strangely in other ways too.
