AT+CSQ returns ERROR

Hi, all

I am getting into situation where AT+CSQ on FXT-003 (Q26e) returns ERROR. Once I enabled some of the debugging, error is actually CME ERROR 30. This error means “No network service”. At same time, modem is quite happily registered and I can make/receive voice calls as well as send/receive data over data channel.

Any ideas what is happening? Never saw it doing this on 2G modems.

How are you issuing the AT+CSQ command?

Do you always get the ERROR response, or only occasionally?

I think AT+CSQ can return ERROR if you happen to issue it at a critical point while the firmware is busy doing something else…?

Once firmware gets into this mode, ERROR is returned all the time.
I do it periodically from firmware and also tried to do it from terminal.
