Network Registration

Hi all,

We are having sierra wireless FX100 board and working on network for TCP connection. we have inserted the sim
and trying with at commands. For the command “AT+CREG?” we are not getting the proper response.
The response is +CREG: 0,0. It is not getting registered to the network.

Any idea?

First ting I would check is the SIM card. Check if the SIM is ready or if a PIN is required:
AT+CPIN?

Hi Krima,

Thanks for the reply, I did check the command "AT+CREG?" and I was getting the response as "+CPIN: READY". I have also tried "AT+CSQ" command and got the following response " +CSQ: 28,0".

Enable unsolicited registration status reports with AT+CREG=2

Enable all WIND indications with AT+WIND=32767

See what this tells you…

Err… the FX100 is a cased modem - so what do you mean by “FX100 board:question:

I tried with it…

For AT+CREG=2 the response is

at+creg=2
OK

+CREG: 0

And For AT+WIND=32767 the response is

at+wind=32767
OK

After trying dat i again tried with AT+CREG? command, the response is

at+creg?
+CREG: 2,0

OK

Which still means sim error. I am not able to register to GSM.
It is Sierra wireless FX100 HSPA+ Airlink programmable modem.

No, it doesn’t.

Reboot the device, and capture all the output when it re-starts…

After reboot I got the following output when it re-started

+WIND: 3

+WIND: 14

+WIND: 0

Hiya,

Check that you have the sim inserted properly (pushed right in), AND that you have the sim card lock pushed across the front of the sim.

ciao, Dave
