BC127 Apple co-processor setup

Hello All,

I have got BC127 Dev kit and as i have studied that it has inbuilt apple co-processor chip. But I am still unable to connect device with my apple homekit app. Is there any particular process or steps to connect BC127 Dev kit with homekit?
Please share if any videos or documents available.

Any help will be greatful.

Regards,
Mitesh

Mitesh,

I presume you are talking about the Apple authentication chip? If so where did you read this as it does not.

Regards

Matt

Hi Matt,

Yea I am talking about Apple authentication chip.

Sorry but I have not understood your question clearly. But I am willing to use this dev kit with apple homekit app.
Can I use it or do I need any external hardware?

Thanks for reply,
Mitesh

Mitesh,

There are two development kits for the BC127, the small one and the big one, the big one has the authentication chip on board, you can buy these from the blue creations webshop (currently trying to get these available through the distribution channels).

There is some documentation around on the source.

There are several demo videos on youtube, just search for BC127 and they will all come up (most seem to be on page 2) for example the one below.

Hi Matt,

Thanx for your immidiate support.

I am having a bigger board as in below link.

bluecreation.com/product_in … ucts_id=49

It has got inbuilt authentication IC.
I have gone through most of the videos and I am able to send and receive messages on Melody app.

But I am unable to see the deice in home kit app. Like if I am trying to add accessories in Home Kit app, I should get this device.

Sorry for trouble but it would be great to hear something related to this from anyone.

Mitesh

Mitesh,

Can you send ‘config’ to the unit so I can see your setup?

Regards

Matt

Hi Matt,

Any changes in config mode to be done?

In one of the document I read my module by default is in command mode while it has to be in data mode.
But I am trying to change its mode but things are not working out.

Can you suggest anything on the same?

Thanks,
Mitesh

Mitesh,

I think the key issue here is not data mode or command mode (this is just a mode the UART is in) it is the fact that you are not able to see the unit in your home app.I am limited in what I can test as my setup does not have an authentication chip (hence I cannot do what you are doing).

Matt
