Q26 Extreme Telus CME 515

Hi all,

We have a customer who is using a Telus SIM in Canada on a Q26Extreme. They get CME 515 error when attempting any SIM functions and needless to say no connection to the network. The SIM works in other devices and a Bell SIM works in ours (so it is not the SIM fault or device fault, rather an interaction fault).

Anyone experienced this and hopefully has a solution?

Thanks,

Ross

Hi,
It is recommended to issue AT+CFUN=1 command after inserting the SIM card.
What is the output of AT+WFM=2
Also could you please provide wind indication after setting AT+WIND=32767.

Regards,
Rex

Rex,

Sorry about the delay, had to wait for the unit to come back from Canada.

I waited 5 minutes after the CFUN command and only received the three WIND messages.

I also fitted the same SIM into a Q2698 and it was able to read it.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Ross.

Hi,
Can you disable the “SIMSPEEDENH” feature and see whether it is working fine?

Thanks,
Rex

Rex,

Yes I have already tried that without success. We have run out of time on this issue and had to replace the module with a Q2698.

Thanks for your help.
