Cant get AT!ICCID? to return an ICCID

I just installed an EM7355 sim into my Lenovo laptop. I need to activate it with AT&T. The IMEI number is clearly embossed on the chip, but the ICCID is not. I have been trying to use the AT command: AT!ICCID? to get the ICC ID response from the device, but the command keeps ending in “ERROR”. Does anyone have any other ideas? I really need the ICC ID to get the darn thing activated.

Thanks!

Hiya,

Have you inserted a sim card into your laptop?

The ICCID belongs to the sim card, not the module (unless the module has an embedded sim soldered inside the module…). Unless there is a sim attached to the module, the sim identification at commands will fail.
