We are working with windows XP embedded on onboard touch screens in combination with the Honeywell VX9. (l-trondirect.com/image/cach … ax-500.jpg)
We want to attach them to a pLTE network with the EM7565, but the windows Driver can not be installed. (Installation is not supported for this windows version)
Is there a work around to make it work?
Hello,
I believe that windows itself already “obsolete” then you can try other O/S environments instead such as “LINUX”.
Hi,
Thank you for the reply. The thing is that Windows XP Embedded 2009 is still supported by microsoft:
“Windows Embedded POSReady 2009. This product for point-of-sale devices reflects the updates available in Windows Embedded Standard 2009. It was originally released in 2009, and extended support will end on April 9, 2019.”
So I hope that there is a driver available for the modem. On the PC there are all kinds of dedicated windows applications which make it difficult to switch to Linux.
Does anybody have a clue?
