no cellular service for em7455 with window10!

Hi,

I just want to give some information. I’ve tested my MC7455 on DELL E7240 running win 10 64 bit for all netsh mdm related commands where result as below :

netsh mbm sh int
.
.
.
Signal : 0%

netsh mbn sh rad int=*
State : SIM not inserted

I believe same as yours. That why signal shows 0%.

Thanks again! I tested again.

I found : for em/ec7455 at!usbcomp=1,1,1009 (for MBIM mode just I did), at!usbcomp = 1,1,10d (for QMI) , at!usbcomp=1,1,100d (to expose the NMEA port)

i have no problem to read all information from ATT sim card (window 10 or netsh mbn sh read int=*:). But don’t know why signal zero?

Hi,

looks like even though it shows LTE but “no band” was found. Below is from my MC7455 on windows 10 pro 64 bit

These all from me and believe other members could provide more help precisely.

In my first post, I can found LTE band, but don’t know why service be limited?

Finally I fixed my no service issue. very simple, re-checked both antenna connections. tried to flash the generic ATT FW. Then, everything works well on window10 PC. Found band 12 and 2. even em7455 directly worked with my flashed Rooter router. one only problem is that the cellular signal has only 48%. maybe need better antenna. Thanks zainol69, kiltym for your help.

Hey cjtct, Did you able to increase your cellular signal? I am getting only 40% signal.I am also thinking to develop a wireless cellular camera. Don’t know it possible or not. I am looking for total guide and solution for this type problem.

Hi All.

I have a ThinkPad P50 with the same issue, EM7455 is stated as turned off.

How do i run AT commands from Win10? ?

Sorry …total noob here

Do you install the usb driver in win10?
If yes, you can use tera term to open modem port to enter
AT command

Dont think I have installed any USB drivers.

So basically i got this Lenovo P50 laptop from another person…the person just uses it for normal office stuff.

There’s a sim card slot which i found out is an EM7455 from device manager.

Inserted the SIM … and it states my network operator, but it’s greyed out and says turned off.

Tried all i can from drivers and such…and found this post!..

So yeah…total noob in this specific area.

Then go to source.sierrawireless.com to download and usb driver and skylight

Alright all done

Still the same

Skylight states radio is turned offskylight

Do you have modem port in device manager?

Nope i dont have any modem port in Device Manager

Seems to be same issue.

I see.

Ok ive done all in that thread and now I see the relevant ports and modems in Device Manager.

What should i do now?

you can use tera term to open the modem port and type:

AT!entercnd=“A710”
at+cfun?
AT!gstatus?
AT!impref?

I get these

ERROR

+CFUN: 0

OK

!GSTATUS:
Current Time: 7384 Temperature: 38
Reset Counter: 32 Mode: LOW POWER MODE

OK

please enter ATE1 first, otherwise I cannot see what you have entered in tera term.

Sorry my bad
