# Verizon SIM with static IP on EM7455

Hi,

I am unable to use a Verizon SIM (WCDMA) with Static IP on EM7455. It does not get registered on network.  
I have tested EM7455 with T-Mobile Static SIM that selects LTE mode and it is working fine (registration, data connection etc).

Firmware - PRI FF GOOD 0 0 0 002.079\_001 02.33.03.00\_VERIZON

Status:  
Current Time: 158 Temperature: 32  
Reset Counter: 1 Mode: ONLINE  
System mode: WCDMA PS state: Not attached  
WCDMA band: WCDMA 2100  
WCDMA channel: 10668  
GMM (PS) state:DEREGISTERED LIMITED SERVICE  
MM (CS) state: IDLE LIMITED SERVICE

WCDMA L1 state:L1M\_PCH\_BPLMN LAC: 9E20 (40480)  
RRC state: DISCONNECTED UTRAN Cell ID: 0901C08B (151109771)  
RxM RSSI C0: -89 RxD RSSI C0: —  
RxM RSSI C1: — RxD RSSI C1: —

Is there any way to make it work with WCDMA SIM?

Hi,  
Could you help to provide the output of these commands:

- AT+COPS=?
- AT!BAND?
- AT+CGDCONT?

If these commands show incorrect band/apn, please help to set the correct one.  
The status showed Limited Service, so could you help to check your SIM card? Is it working with other devices?

I am a little confused by the fact you are stating that you are using a Verizon WCDMA SIM, WCDMA is AKA 3G and Verizon don’t have a 3G network, only LTE.

It is a 4G SIM. All the 3G and 4G bands were enabled in current modem setting. With the Verizon Static SIM, it was always trying 3G only bands and going into deep sleep mode. Due to this I misinterpreted it as 3G SIM.

It worked after selecting LTE only networks  
AT!SELRAT=06 or AT!BAND=9
