Hello…

I am using the WIP plug in to create a TCP client connection. The problem I am facing is that when the client disconnects the TCP server is not notified (which is really a problem for my application)… I tried using wip\_shutdown() function as well as wip\_abort() before using wip\_close() but although they return 0 (success) the server is not notified that the client is disconnected… There is no problem on the server side (when I use HyperTerminal, for example, as the TCP client the server is notified when the client is disconnected).

In the wip\_abort() and wip\_shutdown() documentation it is mentioned that both functions cause an error at the peer socket but I receive no such error on the server side…

Any hints would be appreciated…

Thanks a lot…

Hello again…

I figured it out…
The problem was that I called wip\_close() function right after wip\_shutdown()…
After calling function wip\_shutdown() application should wait for WIP\_CEV\_PEER\_CLOSE
event and after that it can call wip\_close() function…

Take care…
