I WANT TO TAKE DATA INPUT FROM THE UART1 FOR THE EMBEDED APPLICATION AND AFTER PARSING THAT DATA I WANT TO THROUGH IT FROM UART2 OF WISMO Q2406B. PLEASE HELP ME WITH STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTION WITH THE OAT API(NOT ADL).[/b] ---

DON’T SHOUT :!: Writing in ALL CAPITALS just makes your text hard to read. It is also considered to be SHOUTING and, hence, rude. Please don’t do it! Why do you specifically not want to use ADL? Note that ADL is the API specifically recommended for beginners - so why do you not want to use it? Thanx Buddy.I will keep ur suggestion in mind.But the thing is that I have already developped an embeded application using OAT api which can send sms using UART1.Now I want to connect a GPS system of 4800 baud rate with NMEA protocol at UART2 and then display the data at an hyperterminal using UART1 simultaniously.So please help me with required code and guidance. ---

ADL is an Open-AT API! Wavecom provides two APIs for Open-AT - one is called the “basic” API, the other is called “ADL” Do you mean that you’ve already written an application using the “basic” API? ---

If you’ve already written the application using UART1 and the Basic API, you must have the general idea by now? What is your specific problem with extending it to use UART2? ---

My problem is that I can access only the UART1 but I am not able to find any way to specify UART2 with the basic openAT fcm APIs provided with the openAT version 2.10.Pleas help me with some sample code about how to access UART2 and how to receive data from the serial ports with openAT version 2.10 with the basic APIs. If my module WISMO QUICK Q2406b is compatible with any version of openAT greater than version 3 then please give me a link from where I can download it. ---

Hi, The Q2406B is compatible with OpenAT 3.0, 3.01, 3.02, 3.03, 3.04, 3.10. It might be compatible with others, too. But those are the ones I have tried. I cannot give you a download link. You will need to conatct your distributor for that. I am pretty sure that 2.10 does not support UART2 and I am afraid the 3.x versions only support UART 2 in ADL and not the basic API (although I am not sure about the latter). Best Regards, Jan
