# RV55 LAN Hostname Resolution

Is it possible in ALEOS to add a list of known hostnames with corresponding IP addresses to resolve over DNS? Looking to have a smart phone be able to connect to a server on the LAN created by the RV55 by hostname. It is not possible to edit a hosts file on the smart phone.

Hi gabe.colburn,

Look like you want to make RV55 work as the DNS resolver. I would like to say that it cannot work in that way.
