I have a windows CE app that I would like to add some WAN communication to beyond Wifi !
We use a company in Bulgaria called Datecs who make a special PDA printer. They have a GPRS option that uses the 2406 chip
Firstly please can somone post a link to the deveopment documentation for this chip
Also what is the basic way to program them ie
You presumeably “open a GPRS connection” - do you then get an IP address back from the Mobile Phone Network provider so you can start a socket session ?
Is it possible to have two 2406 talk directly to each other or do you always both have to talk via a “3rd party” on the internet.
