MC8092 detection issue

Hi

I’m working on an Linux embedded system (kernel 2.6.32.9) and I have some issue with the detection of MC8092 card.
Usually the card is well detected and four /dev/ttyUSBx are created, but sometimes the card is not detected or the card is detected as a QHSUSB_DLOAD (cf the following log).

new high speed USB device using atmel-ehci and address 13
[  155.970000] usb 1-2.4: New USB device found, idVendor=05c6,
idProduct=9008
[  155.970000] usb 1-2.4: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2,
SerialNumber=0
[  155.980000] usb 1-2.4: Product: QHSUSB_DLOAD
[ 155.990000] usb 1-2.4: Manufacturer: Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM
[  156.010000] usb 1-2.4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
[  159.500000] usb 1-2.4: USB disconnect, address 13

Does anybody know why the card is badly detected?

Regards,
Simon

Hi,

From the logs, it is seen that device is not detected properly and the information in the logs is the information regarding the Qualcomm chipset used internally in the module and not the information about the Sierra device. The vendor id is also for Qualcomm. This could be the issue with the drivers installed.

Can you please uninstall and install the drivers again and check if device is recognized properly.

Is the behavior seen immediately first time on device detection ? Or the information is not correct everytime,when the device is detected ?

Can you please uninstall and install the drivers many times and check if the card is detected wrong everytime?

Thanks.
