MC7710 Microsoft Mobile Broadband Network API support

I have a panasonic CF-C2 Toughbook fitted with the embedded MC 7710. I am having difficulty getting the IMbnSms->SmsDelete function to work.

I can call the function but the callback event ImbnSmsEvents->OnSmsDeleteComplete always calls back with a status of E_MBN_SMS_INVALID_MEMORY_INDEX

so my question is

Is the MC7710 compatible with the Microsoft Mobile Broadband Network API ?

I can read messages OK with IMBnSms->SmsRead , but I can’t delete them.

I can establish connections and disconnect them using mbn.
