MC5727V A-Key Programming

#1

We are currently going through integration testing with a lab as a step towards having our device certified for use on the Verizon network. The lab needs to program the A-Key as part of their testing. After consulting the Extended AT Command reference I concluded that it could be done with a variation of the following commands:

AT!AKEY=00,DF,D9,37,E5,9F,E0,86,2F
134754

OK
AT!AKEY=00,DF,D9,37,E5,9F,E0,86,2F,13,47,54
134754

OK
AT!ACHK=134754
OK

However the activation status query always returns 0.
AT!ACTSTAT?
0

Am I missing a step? Is there an easier way to instruct the lab to do this?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Regards,
Peter

Hi
I personally havent worked on MC5727V but i had a look at the guide and the it says “If the value entered is a 20 digit number, the 6 digit checksum shall be returned. If the value entered
is a 26 digit number, the firmware shall validate the last six digits (the checksum) and then write the
validated A-Key to NV”. But the case you have mentioned as example shows the value to be either 18 digit or 24 digit. Is that correct?
