I had the same error but i have fixed it by installing the matching version of the USB drivers. If you have R28 version, using MBPL_SDK_R35_ENG4-lite.bin will make the error eSDP_FWDWL_ERR_FIREHOSE_STATE_ERR So you should first update the USB drivers the to R35 version, then use the R35 tools.
