GNSSCONF - PoLTE

Hi,

The AT Commands Interface Guide describes an configuration option to turn PoLTE on or off.
How exactly does this work?
Is is possible to only use PoLTE and not satellites at all?

Hi mapart,

PoLTE uses the UE to detect LTE CAT-M1 signals (that is, Cell Specific Reference Signals (CRS)) in the surrounding area, and then sends the data to the PoLTE server. The PoLTE server then uses patented algorithms to determine the device’s location.
Use the +GNSSCONF command to enable or disable PoLTE.

Hi and thanks for your answer,

What do I need to do in order to make it work?
Is there any documentation regarding this feature?
How do I configure the module to only use PoLTE?

@mapart

So you will need a PoLTE account as it is a payable service (to PoLTE.com, not Sierra) also contact SWI tech support through your commercial channel to see how to set it up.
