# FXT009 not detected

Hi Expert,

I’m really need your help.  
After try to update firmware and failed. I’m not able to connect again to FXT009 via USB.

Please help guys.

Hiya,

If I recall correctly, depending on the firmware version the USB port was not enabled by default on these devices.

To check, connect to the device over a serial cable and try the following command:

```auto
AT+WMFM=0,2
```

which will read the state of the connected ports.

You are looking for the result:

```auto
+WMFM: 0,2,3,x
```

where x=0 the USB port is closed; x=1 the USB port is open.

If the USB port is closed, use the following command:

```auto
AT+WMFM=0,1,3
```

You mat need to reboot the module after setting the port state.

Look at the +WMFM command in the AT Command Interface Guide for further info.

If the update failed, possibly it now doesn’t have the firmware to make the USB work.

Try the serial port …
