FX30 - Can't establish connection after power cycle

Hi all,

Seeing something weird on my FX30S-LTE that I can’t figure out. I have 2 modems, one with an AT&T account and the other with a Verizon account. I have both modems running my app successfully, both connecting on LTE to a server over the cellular network and passing data back and forth. I have had them running like this over the weekend with no interruptions and no problems. Most of the time after I power cycle the modems, they boot up and my app starts no problem, except that they can no longer connect to the server over the cellular network. I check that the modem is registered, that the RAT is set to LTE, that the data connection is establish and I have an IP, that the APN is configured correctly, and that the signal strength is good. Still no connection, and I get a perrno 110 - Connection Timed out from a connection attempt.

No matter how many times I cycle the power on the modems, I get the same results. But, if I switch the SIM chips between the 2 modems, then all of a sudden after rebooting, they begin communicating again. They continue working great until I recycle the power, then the same scenario starts all over again.

I don’t have a clue as to why it is doing this. Any help in troubleshooting is appreciated. Thanks!

Regards,

Eddie

Hi Eddie,
Next time, before and after you switch SIM’s, please check the following on both devices:
AT!IMPREF?
AT!GSTATUS?
AT!IMAGE?

When you switch SIM’s, the WP module should be switching the Carrier PRI configuration and likely rebooting.

BR,
Chris

I stopped my app and tried the command “cm data connect” and here is the results:

root@fx30s:~# cm data connect

Any idea what’s could be causing the problem?

Thanks!
