We have recently received new Getac tablets that feature EM9190 modules in them. With the drivers from the manufacturer’s website we can get the cellular to at least work but I do not have a port for AT commands. The USB driver from Sierra Wireless directly BSOD’s the tablet immediately with a verifier dma violation BSOD. I’m not too familiar with Sierra Wireless devices but I am very confused as what to do here.

Just the network adapter. There is no modem listed in device manager as expected. Other than that, just the NMEA COM port.

Did you check with getac?

I don’t see problem to install the driver on win10

Btw, does this help?

It seems like generating my own configuration.ini file has resolved the issue. I appreciate the assistance.

Spoke too soon, I guess. Lost the NMEA port and now have no GPS. USBCOMP is 8 in the configuration.ini. USBCOMP? shows GPSENABLE is 0x01 GPSTATUS? shows no fix.

you can try to modify configuration.ini, add “NMEAVSPDRIVER=1” and then run the driver exe.
See if you can get the NNEA port again.
e.g.

* * *

[Default Values]
NMEAVSPDRIVER=1

* * *

Please note that we must connect antenna to AUX antenna port, otherwise, no NMEA frame in NMEA virtual COM port.

BTW, you also need to check AT!GPSSATINFO? to see if it can view any satellite.
