# Can i disable the watchdog timer?

Hello,

I would like disable my watchdog reset. But i have read that this mechanism can not be putoff. Is it possible. Please suggest.

Hi priya,

Why would you do such a thing? This is a security feature which does not interfere with your program as long as your program behaves correctly.

By the way: it is not possible to deactivate the watchdog.
